I’ve always been a person who prides themselves on being function oriented. When it comes to home lighting, all I cared was that when I walked in a room and I flick a switch, the room gets brighter. Done.

I was convinced that function was all that mattered – until I started looking at what just ONE CHANGE could do to the feeling in the room. One little change can make all the difference, bringing together the whole look while still being fully functional at the same time.

Same room, new decorative concrete lighting, totally different feeling of cohesiveness that was lacking before. I never thought that lighting made such a difference – but now I know that frequently the lighting in a room isn’t just functional, the style choices can actually MAKE the room.

Notice how we selected a light fixture that is larger (to help illuminate the new wider vanity) and ties in the curved visual clues of the mirror and the vessel sink. This one small change now makes this whole space work together – it just flows right.
